About this archive

This is a static archive of inpixels09.wordpress.com, a blog Jay Hack kept during a 5.5-month student exchange in Nagano, Japan, between September 2009 and January 2010.

How it was built

The source data was pulled from the public WordPress.com REST API. Three independent representations live in the GitHub archive: structured JSON, portable Markdown with local images, and original HTML mirrors. This edition is statically generated with Next.js and deployed on Vercel.

Why preserve it?

Hosting platforms change. Plain files do not ask much of the future. Keeping the words and photographs together makes the journal readable, searchable, and portable long after its original theme disappears.
